The Orangetheory Fitness 60-minute group session is an energetic, heart-rate monitored blend of cardiovascular and strength training exercises. By using treadmills, indoor rowing machines, and weight blocks and TRX Suspension Training, our top-level personal trainers lead you through a challenging group workout that leaves you feeling invigorated.


Backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our high intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions have been developed to keep your heart rate in the target zone, which boosts your metabolism and energy. When you exercise the Orangetheory way, you burn extra calories and have extra energy for an additional 24-36 hours after your initial workout!


The Orangetheory  60-minute gym session is ideal for all fitness levels, as the intensity of the workout is based on your own heart rate. All adults and teenagers, ages 16 years and older, are welcome to participate. If you have any physical limitations, please be sure to notify your personal trainer before your first session.

Coach
Born and raised in Vero Beach, Florida, Jeff left the sun and beaches after he fell in love with the Midwestern charm. After spending three years working and training at one of the most elite gyms in Chicago, Jeff decided to move closer to family and moved to Ann Arbor in September. Jeff is a graduate of Florida State University, and holds his certification through The American Council on Exercise. He specializes in Interval Training, TRX, and Sports Conditioning & Training. Jeff garnered an extreme passion for fitness after overcoming several health related issues dealing with obesity when he was younger. He believes fitness should be fun, if not just a break from your stressors. “As adults we have to relearn how to have fun with our activeness. We have to set small goals for ourselves, and the best way to reach our goals is to surround ourselves with people who share and support them!” As an OTF Coach, you can expect Jeff to bring high energy, barrier breaking motivation, dynamic workouts, a dash of humor, and dedicated support. “I love people. I love our stories. Please don’t be afraid to share your stories and chat with us! I love hearing when members smashed their goals, conquered their fears, or were able to see something in the mirror they’ve never seen before.”

Head Coach
Jolie completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition from Central Michigan University. She’s certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and has worked in both clinical and fitness settings. Jolie has a well-rounded health and wellness background and is excited to share her knowledge and passion for group exercise with you! She is motivated every day by the people she interacts with and their willingness and desire to achieve their personal goals, despite any physical limitations. She loves the camaraderie at Orangetheory and firmly believes in interval training to achieve results.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?
Burpees.
Coach Kate completed her undergrad degree at Michigan, majoring in History and Russian Language. Currently, she's a  Master’s student at the U of M studying Sports Management. Kate is a two time National College Boxing Champion, and was the first woman to win a National title in boxing from U of M. Kate has worked both as a personal trainer, fitness-boxing instructor, and
boxing corner coach. Kate loves the programming at Orangetheory because the high-intensity interval training is similar to the training she used for boxing. She loves encouraging members to push themselves, and seeing their excitement after they
reach their personal goals.

HEART MONITORED TRAINING

 

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.

COACH SUPPORT

 

Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
